What Abundant Grace Does: 1. Coordinate the free community breakfasts Wed/Thurs at the Coastside Lutheran Church. 2. Professionally train Spanish speaking women to be community organizers in our Mujeres Adelante Leadership Training which focuses on Affordable Housing and Immigration Reform. 3. Operate an employment program at Potrero Nuevo Farm where we hire over 50 people (mostly homeless) each year to plant and harvest 20,000 pounds of fresh, organic produce which we distribute for free at 3 sites in Half Moon Bay. 4. Run the Rainy Day Project so the homeless can get out of the rain, get dry clothes and rain gear, and a hot lunch on rainy days. 5. Have wonderful volunteers (around 30 of them!) who come from several local churches (Lutheran, Episcopal, Catholic, Methodist, Mariner's, Unitarian, UCC, and more) and service organizations/groups like Rotary Club and Coldwell Banker. 6. Believe that in giving we receive, and in sharing we discover that there is more than enough. AND...we have to work for justice so that everyone is treated fairly and has a decent life.
