CSPA provides funding for programs and projects that enrich visitors' experiences in the California State Parks along San Mateo County's coast. By training volunteers and docents who interpret and protect natural resources, by funding interpretive exhibits and signs within the parks, and by engaging young people through campfire, junior lifeguard, and junior ranger programs as well as scheduled school visits, we can educate both locals and world-wide visitors to understand and appreciate the environment and the wildlife that abound on and off our shores. In addition, we support habitat restoration and facilities improvement, particularly for accessibility and preservation of our cultural and natural history.

Over 300 volunteers and docents will greet hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to the fifteen Coastside State Parks that we support.

Our programs are supported by individual and corporate donations, fundraising events, and sales in our parks stores' at Año Nuevo State Park, Pigeon Point Light Station and Half Moon Bay State Beach. Individual donations of $250 and over will earn 2 complimentary** tickets to Seal Adventure, and donations of $500 and over will earn 4 complimentary** tickets to Seal Adventure-our extended viewing event at Año Nuevo State Park during the peak of the elephant seals' breeding season in January.
(**Note: All complementary tickets must be secured in advance as the events sell out early and access to the event is limited.)
