"I am 80 and have been a writer for many years. I've been in the Writer's Group for a couple of years and enjoy the invitations to write that we each offer each other and I certainly enjoy it when people read what I've written." -Liane, age 80

"I have volunteered many times over the last 15 years on Home Repair Day. It is a good feeling to give back a little to the community as well as enjoying the writing group and occasional lunches." Bob, age 82

"When I moved to the coast from upstate New York 6 years ago, I felt lonely and isolated. I began volunteering with Senior Coastsiders and a new world of friendships and activities opened up for me. I have enjoyed every moment of it!" -Peg

"I began volunteering at Senior Coastsiders as a newcomer to town and to retirement. I wanted to use my skills to meet people like me and to contribute to the senior life here. I started at a registration table at the annual Pumpkin Run benefit, then proceeded to the Thrift Shop identifying and pricing collectibles, and then to designing and maintaining a website and Facebook page for the organization and its members, along with organizing a workshop for seniors to express their creativity in writing. I still do the latter." Suzanne, age 78
