Each year, CCO gives awards to aspiring local high school music students to further their musical education. This year CCO has also partnered with Beach Break Entertainment for a special District-wide assembly, "For the Love of Music" on Valentine's Day! The assembly featured the film "Philharmonia Fantastique," an endearing and inspirational introduction to the instruments of the orchestra and was seen by to ALL 700 + 3rd thru 5th Graders in our District. In addition, CCO musicians continue to attend local in-school assemblies to play and demonstrate their instruments. We encourage students to be good listeners, ask questions and touch instruments, thus inspiring them to learn to play an instrument themselves. The Orchestra is offered as a class through the city Parks and Recreation Department. It raises money through its Winter and Spring concerts and from donations. We encourage young musicians to join us, thus experiencing the joy of playing orchestral repertoire and making music with other musicians.
CCO is now in its 41st year of bringing the sound of music to the Coastside and our children and we invite you to join us.

CCO is now in its 41st year! Our Mission is bringing classical music to the Coastside, both with our concerts and also with our multifaceted community outreach. We invite you to join us to help us continue our efforts for our Coastside Community.
Donations will be used to defray operating costs for the orchestra, so we can continue to present professional-level concerts to the community. Donations also help us fund the community efforts we so believe in - providing music grants to graduating high school seniors and supporting local public school music programs.
