Our goal has always been to help our Vets and families as well as
promoting community, education and local sports. We also sponsor students to attend
Boy's State and Girl's State. We provide a free dinner for all, Vets and general public, on
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. We host the VA Out Reach Traveling Medical
Support facility on a monthly basis. We promote an annual Vets to Vets Blues Festival
attended by many Vets from local VA facilities, often wheelchair confined and visually
impaired. Families often use our outdoor facility for memorial services for our passing
Vets. Our town picnic is always well attended on the fourth of July. We provide a place for
Vets of all ages and their families to get together, socialize and find support on a daily
basis.
This Post is the best place for Veteran's and their families to meet and connect.

We are in need new weatherproof/outdoor security system cameras.
The parking lot is in terrible shape and needs repairs as well as the parking spaces restriped.
Post 474 is very much interested in sponsoring a local youth baseball team.
In our backyard, we have our portable stage, which was upgraded and re-roofed last year. This year we would love to be able to install solar LED lighting for the stage and a new weather resistant outdoor dance floor as the recent weather has pretty much destroyed the current dance floor.
Inside the bar, our bartenders would love to see the lighting upgraded to all LED lights with better placement and our musicians would appreciate upgraded stage lighting for their indoor performances.
Last year, with coastside gives help, we were able to complete our veterans garden and had the unveiling in late 2023.
