Half Moon Bay Shakespeare

Half Moon Bay Shakespeare Company is grateful to have this opportunity to be part of the 2026 Coastside Gives campaign. We created our company 14 years ago to bring classic theatre and art to the Coastside community. We produce theatre with a deep commitment to our audiences, to local education, and to outreach involvement. We also seek to celebrate diversity and to enrich and enliven the existing cultural and artistic atmosphere of our community and beyond.

In 2013, our company adopted Carter Park from the City of Half Moon Bay and the park has proven to be an excellent venue for community members to experience our Shakespearean plays. 

We are excited to announce this season we will be returning to our "home" in Carter Park and will be performing William Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale" this September/October.  Last year the City of HMB completed a remarkable Carter Park renovation providing the public with a scenic, modern performance venue. 

Donations will defray operations and production costs of this season's Carter Park venue rental, permits, insurance, sound equipment, stage/set, and costumes. These funds will also assist marketing efforts to achieve a more vibrant presence on the coast and in the Bay Area.
