Grad Night is a community-supported event, with volunteers from Montara to Half Moon Bay working together to ensure a safe and memorable celebration to our seniors’ graduation. The Grad Night committee is a registered non-profit organization (#95-4826391) run by volunteers and all proceeds from our fundraising events go to the non-profit and are dedicated to the execution and maintenance of the annual Grad Night event for graduating seniors in the Cabrillo School District.

Committee members are current parents, past parents and members of the community. We are not affiliated with HMBHS high school or the Cabrillo school district. Throughout the year, parents from all grades and volunteers from the community come together to plan, raise funds, set up, chaperone and clean up after the all-night party, contributing hundreds of volunteer hours. We are dedicated to providing a special evening, full of cherished memories, in a safe environment for our graduating seniors. The committee provides scholarships where needed so that every senior can attend.  The event creates a spirit of togetherness among the graduates as they celebrate with friends on their last day of high school.

The Grad Night Committee's fundraising is required to cover the actual cost of the event which exceeds the funds collected through ticket sales to the seniors attending.  Cash donations enable us to secure and cover the party entertainment, decorations, food, senior gifts, and prizes. Your donation will ensure a safe evening for this year's graduating seniors and continuity for future Grad Nights.

Mission

The HMBHS Grad Night Committee's mission is to provide an all-night, once-in-a-lifetime celebration for HMBHS graduates as a positive alternative to unchaperoned parties. For over 40 years, the HMBHS Grad Night Committee has sponsored Grad Night, an all-night celebration for graduating seniors. It is part of a national effort to keep seniors safe on graduation night. More than "just a party", Grad Night is a commitment by the Committee, the community, parents and the school to produce a once-in-a-lifetime event to keep the graduates entertained and protected.

Needs

Grad Night brings together entertainment, dancing, music, food and prizes for an unforgettable celebration. Scholarships are provided for any senior with financial need.

In addition to the cost of the event, Grad Night needs volunteers - more than 100 - to prepare and carry out the celebration for the graduating seniors. You can register to volunteer or learn more here: https://www.hmbhsgradnight.com/volunteers/

We will also gladly take in-kind donations. Please reach out at the link above and inquire!
