The Spanish Immersion Parent Association (SIPA) was created to enhance CUSD's TK-12 two-way bilingual immersion program. SIPA provides materials, scholarships, teacher enrichment and program needs for the immersion classrooms. SIPA funds the Amity intern program at Hatch and Cunha.
Mission
SIPA's mission is to serve as the primary support and advocacy group for the students, teachers and families of the immersion program and to inspire the continuation of a bilingual education.
Needs
We are fundraising to support our Amity Interns at Hatch Elementary School and Cunha Intermediate School. Amities are teaching interns from Spanish-speaking countries that aid teachers and share cross-cultural experiences with students and the school community.
We are also fundraising to provide stipends to teachers, scholarships to graduating immersion students, classroom materials, Fiesta performances and more!
