El Granada PTO is an all volunteer organization with a mission to enrich our kids' school lives, foster pride in our school, encourage family involvement and build our school community.
We aim to fill the gaps between public education funding and the needs of our kids, providing high quality, inspiring educational opportunities for every child in our community. The vast majority of our budget is spent on educational supplements (programs, field trip and assemblies) and school supplies, with the rest put towards community building within the school.
*We fund curriculum components that are only intermittently funded by the state, such as art, music, physical education and science through funding of extra programs and staff.
*We support basic supplies requirements, such as classroom supplies and copy paper.
*We support the classroom teachers in facilitating enrichment of the school curriculum, in the form of stipends and discretionary spending.
*We initiate community based events and family fun nights to include the entire El Granada community, and show our support for our wonderful staff on Staff Appreciation Week!
*We organize the efforts of our parent volunteers to impact classroom learning (art-in-action; arts and science week), field trips, school beautification and much, much more.
Your donation will make a huge difference in what we are able to provide to our students next year and we are so grateful! Help us spread the word about our campaign to friends and neighbors and give our Instagram Reel a 'like' to help us win more money for the school!
"I love arts and science day! I can't wait for next year to do rockets, Sandy's World of Eats and squid dissection!" Aidan, 2nd grade.
"I really love the PTO. The donuts at the Wake Up and Read are the best!" Devin, Kindergarten, on our family event where families read together before school.
"I'm happy the PTO brought us Circus of Smiles." Ian, 1st grade, on one of the many assemblies El Granada students got to experience this year.
"The Talent Show is one of my favorite things at school and I know the PTO makes it happen." Namera, 3rd grade.
The El Granada Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose purpose is to foster a sense of support, pride, and enthusiasm among all members of the school community; to enlist parents and teachers in a cooperative effort to enhance the education of children; to encourage parental involvement in their children's educational experience; and to support the educational and recreational needs of the students of El Granada Elementary School.
Our PTO needs funds to continue to supplement the education and school experience of our local kids.
Every dollar you give goes directly to our students, teachers, and school community, funding things like:
- Arts & Science Week (Now in its 52nd year! Think hands-on science experiments & creative fun all week!)
- Classroom supplies and teacher support through stipends and discretionary spending
- PE specialist for TK-3rd graders
- Field Trips
- Supplementary STEAM programs like Miss Maker, Herpetology Heroes, and performing arts.
- Inspiring assemblies from local authors, lion dancers, BMX riders, and more!
- Family Engagement Events (movie nights, Wake Up and Read, our annual Sweetheart Dance)
- and SO much more!
