$25,000 Goal

The Half Moon Bay History Association has been preserving and sharing the history of the San Mateo Coastside since 2006.

Through articles, collections, photography archives, community lectures, tours and other events, and of course the Coastside History Museum, we chronicle the evolution of the coast from the original inhabitants to more recent times.

This helps us imagine the people and our landscape with fascinating stories of early life on the coast, including artichokes and mob bosses, Brussels sprouts and harvesting inventions, and the fishing life, from early reed boats to the days of the Romeo Pier and Charlie the Tuna.

Many more stories remain to be uncovered and shared!

Your donation will help us enhance and expand exhibits for the Coastside History Museum as well as continue to facilitate field trips with local schools and organizations.  Imagine hands-on afternoons learning how to use a mortar and pestle or make butter, and hearing stories about people and events that shaped our landscape and culture.

Please make your donation to the Half Moon Bay History Association to help share our history. Visit our website for more information about us.
