3. Share your organization page

Head to your organization page on Coastside Gives. Once on your page, copy the URL link in your browser.  Share this link with your supporters to bring them to your organization page. From here, supporters can read more about your organization, donate, or set up a peer-to-peer fundraising page.

4. Link your donate form

Head to your organization page and click "donate." This will pull up your donation form. You can then copy this URL link in your browser. This is good to use in emails and newsletters. You can also swap in your donate link in place of any donate buttons on external websites you may have.

Peer-to-Peer Fundraising

Peer-to-peer fundraising is a great way to mobilize your most passionate supporters. These supporters create their own fundraising page to share with their network to expand the reach of your organization and bring in new donors and gifts. Think of it this way:

  • We, the Mavericks Community Foundation, promote the Coastside Gives campaign to the community.
  • You, the participating organization, promote your organization page to your contacts.
  • And your supporters, by hosting peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, promote your organization page to their peers (hence the name peer-to-peer).

As an organization administrator, your job is to steward your fundraisers and make the idea / process of peer-to-peer fundraising fun for your supporters. Set your fundraisers up for success by:

  • Starting early: Now is the time to start identifying your potential peer-to-peer fundraisers and developing an outreach strategy to ask for their support.
  • Being informative: We encourage you to consider your organization’s goal for Coastside Gives, and determine how much of that goal could be reasonably attained with the help of your peer-to-peer fundraisers. Make sure your peer-to-peer fundraisers know exactly what you’re expecting of them so they can help you reach your goals!
  • Making it easy: Provide your peer-to-peer fundraisers with the resources they need to be successful.
    • You can start by creating a fundraising template which means your peer-to-peer fundraisers don’t have to start from scratch with their fundraising pages!
    • Be sure to share the Peer-to-Peer fundraising toolkit with your interested supporters! This toolkit provides them with a detailed walkthrough of the peer-to-peer fundraising feature on Mightycause including how to sign up, build, and share their fundraising page.
