Derrick asks your help to finish Big Wave

Derrick is excited to be moving into Big Wave, where he will live among peers in a supportive community and continue to learn and thrive.

Big Wave is a center and a “hub” for adults with special needs from all over the Bay Area to learn, grow, and build friendships. Big Wave is designed to benefit not only its residents but also the broader community. There will be an adult day program focused on skill development, and a culinary academy to help people learn to cook and find employment.

The building is nearly complete, but we need help finishing essential areas, such as spaces for community events and learning as well as scholarship apartments for families in need.
