$500 goal

Dear Supporter,

We are once again participating in Coastside Gives, an incredible community-driven fundraising campaign that brings together local nonprofits, supporters, and donors with a common goal of making a difference.

This year SMCLAEG has a fundraising goal of $15K – to support our mission of providing rescue and care for large animals that are evacuated during a disaster and safely returning them to their owner.  Our members are volunteer disaster service workers.

Last year, we continued to focus on making sure our members were prepared and outfitted with essential equipment. Some of the skills/training events we held were Interagency Training for the county where we invited law enforcement, fire, humane society, CERT to train them on how to catch and lead large animals; fire line safety training; HAM radio certification; trailer driving safety certification; CPR certification; large animal handling; ResQFAST (technical large animal rescue training), and many more! We also did site visits to help livestock/equine facilities to prepare their property in the event of a fire or other natural disaster.

Ready. Respond. Reunite.

Coastside Gives 2026 - Early giving starts April 1st, and Giving Day is May 7th.
