Earth Heroes unite!

I joined the Pacific Beach Coalition way back in 2000 by leading cleanups at Sharp Park beach.  I quickly learned that helping the ocean was helping me but it was also helping others.  The benefits of working together, learning, and making a difference was and continues to be priceless.  

Hence our mission: The Pacific Beach Coalition is dedicated to preserving the ocean, coastal habitat and wildlife, and ending litter, through advocacy, education, community building, and citizen action became my mantra and life's work.  

Expanding Earth Day with the Pacific Beach Coalition in 2005 to include cleaning our streets and shopping centers and then celebrating afterward with an EcoFest (this year PelicanFest) was always the right thing to do.  Oh how it has changed our community.  How it has given hope to so many volunteers who find a purpose and achieve great things with others by their side! 

I'm calling on everyone to help me raise $5000 for the Pacific Beach Coalition so that this work to unite people, to clean our planet, to grow voices against plastic and oil, to engage youth and all generations can continue for another 25+ years!

As always, funds help them

💙 Grow their Naturalist program, which brings ocean education to life at our monthly events

💙 Reach and inspire more young students at local school assemblies

💙 Increase training and leadership opportunities for volunteer Teen Site Captains

💙 Purchase native plants for restoration projects

💙 Recruit and engage new volunteers to become Earth Heroes

💙 Educate more people about climate change and inspire them to act
